Internet Marketing Tips - What I Would Do With $100

July 3rd, 2009 by pinto

This is going to be a fun article and I hope one that you will get a lot out of as well. Let’s say, as an Internet marketer, you only had $100 to invest and you wanted to put it to use as wisely as possible. What would you do with it? Actually, this is a question a lot of people ask. The dollar amounts vary, but for the most part, the questions come from folks who don’t buy Allegra online a lot of money to sink into their marketing. Well, I’m going to show you how to get the most bang for your buck for just $100.

First thing I would do is get myself a domain that matches the niche that I want to tackle. Let’s say you’re thinking of selling natural acne cures. What I’d do is pick up a domain as close to naturalacnecure dot com as I could find. It’s doubtful that this domain exists, but something close to it could be available. The domain will cost you all of about $9 for the year. That leaves you with $91 left, more or less.

Next thing I would do is get myself hosting for the domain. This is something that you must have and trust me, you don’t want to go with free hosting. The reasons are many. For one thing, you have to put up with all their banner ads and whatever else they force you to show on your site. On top of that, the disk space you get is next to nothing and forget about any bandwidth to speak of or things like PHP and MySQL. In short, the only thing you can do with most free hosting is put up a static web page. For about $5 a month, you can get decent hosting that you can run a business with. That’s $60 a year. You still have $31 left to spend.

What would I do with that $31? I would save it for when you have your site up and your product ready to sell and test your sales page with it by running a limited pay per click campaign. For $31, if your clicks are costing you 10 cents per, you can get over 300 clicks for that much. This is certainly enough to see if your sales page is doing the job. If it does, you’ll end up making sales and can then take THAT money and use it for other things.

This is how you build a business when you’re low on funds…one step at a time. Eventually, you’ll have hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, to spend on your business.

To YOUR Success,

Steven Wagenheim

Cat Fleas - The Most Common Type of Flea to Infest Your Pets

July 2nd, 2009 by pinto

Cat fleas are the most common type of flea to infest homes. While their primary target is felines, the cat flea will also target dogs, as well as people. As such, these fleas should be killed upon discovery, as they can cause disease, as well as great discomfort to your animals.

Cat fleas are small insects that are known to be excellent jumpers. They breed in the fur of cats and dogs, feeding and nesting on the host. This can cause discomfort, as well as promote the development of allergies in the host or in humans. These allergies can transform an irritating bite into a severe problem. While their primary target is cats, they will accept whatever meals that they can get, which makes them a dangerous pest to have in your home.

There are several ways to cope with cat fleas. The most common treatments include putting your pet on Advantage or Front Line, in combination with flea baths to remove the fleas that have already taken hold on your pet. As these fleas can leave a black, chunky residue on fur or in hair, it is vital that they are removed for sanitary and aesthetic reasons.

If you are suffering from a several infestation of cat fleas, there are several things that you can do. First, you can treat your pets, dehumidify your home and place repellents against fleas in your home. These are all protective measures that should help ease the number of fleas that enter your home. Once you have blocked more fleas from entry, you can take more drastic measures at removing the fleas that are already there.

One of the quickest, but more toxic methods of removing fleas is through sprays and flea foggers. These products take time to set up, but are extremely effective at killing flea populations. Flea food traps, which poison the fleas and prevent them from breeding, are also popular, as they can be hidden away. These traps are very similar to bug traps. The downside to these traps is that it takes a great deal of time for the infestation to go away, unlike flea foggers.

If you are being bitten by cat fleas, you may want to consult your doctor. As fleas are disease carriers, you should be wary of any symptoms that occur after flea bites. If you suspect you have been diseased by fleas, treatment by your doctor can help reduce the discomfort and long term effects of the flea bite.

How to Control Your Dog’s Submissive Or Excited Urination

July 1st, 2009 by pinto

Who has not come across a dog that pees on cue as soon as you approach him or her to greet them?
This is what is called submissive or excited urination

What is submissive or excited urination and why does it happen?

A “submissive urinator” is a dog that cannot help urinating in situations of extreme excitement or stress - he’ll go on the floor, on himself on you, on your furniture or on your guests!
Puppies are a perfect example of “submissive urinators”. They’ll pee whenever they’re excited to see you or when they meet a stranger. But sometimes very timid or sensitive adult dogs can have the problem too. It’s very typical of a dog that has been abused to exhibit this behavior.

This problem can happen in many situations:

-When they meet you after a prolonged absence
-When they’re playing
-When your guests arrive
-When there’s a stressful situation at home
-When you scold him or correct him
-Loud noises like a thunderstorm or fireworks

But don’t despair. It is really not difficult to fix this problem of submissive or excited urination.
First of all, take him to the veterinarian to make sure there’s no medical reason for the issue. Diabetes or a bladder infection can have the same effect.

Then you can follow some simple steps:

-Limit his intake of water. This doesn’t mean that you should restrict his water intake, but if, for example, you are expecting guests, or you will soon have a play session, take his water bowl away for a little while before the event happens.

-Don’t make your coming home a big event. When you come in the door, ignore him, go about your business and don’t get him worked up. The more excited he is, the harder it will be for him to control his bladder. I know I have a hard time not saying a warm hello to my baby, but you can always ignore him for the first few seconds and then crouch down and greet him calmly.

-Keep in mind the importance of NOT punishing or yelling at your dog when he has his “accident”. Remember he cannot control it and above all, he’s not doing it on purpose. When you catch him in the act, interrupt him with a firm “No!”, and praise him when he stops, but never punish him. Keep calm and be understanding: he doesn’t mean to do it.

-When he urinates out of fear (submissiveness) when you are scolding him for another reason, try to maintain an authoritative and firm tone, but don’t get angry. Keep in mind that in all probability, you are dealing with a sensitive, highly-strung dog, so, if you get angry or worry him further, the problem will definitely get worse.

-When the problem happens with loud noises like fireworks, if you show a reaction generic Cialis and pet him for being scared, you will only be rewarding the behavior and training him to repeat it, and you don’t want that. You can try and make it a game. When you hear a loud bang, say, “what was that!” Make it a search game and give him a treat or a toy. You can also make no reaction whatsoever, or fuss or comfort him.
Give him the down and stay commands, give him a treat and tell him he’s a good boy.

Always remember that when you have a dog, you must treat him or her with respect and understanding. Almost every “problem” has a solution, and with a little patience, you can do it without the need of expensive training. A few hours working on a problem, can give you many years of enjoyment with your best friend.

8 Secrets For Giving a Cat a Bath

June 30th, 2009 by pinto

There are some real good reasons why we don’t often have to bathe cats. First of all, they typically do a good job of grooming themselves. Secondly, they hate it. If you find yourself needing to bathe your cat, follow these steps to get the job done.

Step 1: Put on a long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt. Your cat will attempt to scratch you during his bath and you should attempt to protect yourself. (You can’t really blame him can you?)

Step 2: Proper grooming begins with trimming your cat’s nails and brushing out the tangles in his hair.

Step 3: If you are bathing your cat in a tub or sink, fill it with lukewarm water at a height of no more than 6 inches. Gather the supplies that you will need, including towels, a cup for rinsing, shampoo and treats.

Step 4: Pick up your cat and stroke him soothingly while carrying him towards the bath. Give him lots of praise. Prepare him for the water ahead by cupping some water in your hand and stroking your wet hand over his fur. Don’t be surprised if this upsets him.

Step 5: Set your cat in the water while pouring small handfuls of water over his body from his neck down. Do not pour water over his head. Transition from handfuls of water to the cup filled with water until your cat is sufficiently wet.

Step 6: Lather the shampoo into your cat’s fur, making sure to get under his belly and arms, but still avoiding his head and face. Gentle massaging might be the way to win your cat over during his bath.

Step 7: It’s very important that you rinse your cat of all the shampoo, no matter how unhappy it makes him. Using the cup again, pour warm water over him until the water runs clear and you know there are no suds left behind to irritate his skin.

Step 8: Leave the mess behind to clean up later. Right now your cat deserves to be swaddled into a towel and hand fed treats and praise until he is calm (and dry!) It’s important to note that when you release him from the towel, you’ll want to watch that he doesn’t roll Newsfeed in his litter box. After he’s calmed down, you might want to try to wash his face using a washcloth.

Ten Pin Bowling Games - Candlepin Bowling

June 25th, 2009 by pinto

The general goal of all ten pin bowling games is to knock down as many pins as possible in the fewest amount of shots. While the goals are the same, there are many variations to the game we know as “bowling” and the games has transformed throughout the years.

Candlepin bowling is one of those variations. It all started in Worcester, Massachusetts more than 100 years ago. Somewhere between 1885 and 1890, Justin P White, Jack Monsey, and Jack Sheafe created the sport know as Candlepin Bowling. Now there were similarities and many differences from the sport we know today, but the goal was still the same…knock down the pins.

However, the original pins were 10″ high and 1″ in diameter and resembled candles, which is why it was named candlepin bowling. The original designers of this game arranged the pins 11 inches apart in a familiar triangular pattern and the bowling ball was thrown from a 1st home tax credit of 50 feet way.

The original bowling ball weighed 2 pounds and measured 3 inches in diameter, very different from the balls we are accustomed to using today. As you might imagine using a bowling ball this small with bowling pins of these dimensions proved very, very difficult. The combination of the small ball and the narrow pins place far apart created frustration for anyone that tried the sport.

Part of the original design of the game was to leave any pins that were knocked over where the lie. There is some debate as to whether this actually helps the player or not, but obviously it would not create any consistency in the sport and would add a large element of random luck to the game. This rule was obviously changed and today most lanes have automated pin setters and removers.

Seeing the difficulties the candlepins created, it was decided to change the dimensions of the bowling pins. The new size of the pins were 5 ¾ inches in length, 1-¾ inches at each end and 2 15/16 inches at the center. These pin dimensions are still being used today as the standard for all 10 pin bowling games.

We do not play with 2 pound balls today, so yes, the size of the ball was also adjusted. However, they were not adjusted to what we are accustomed to today, rather, they increased from 3 inches in diameter to a maximum of 4 ½ inches, and the weight was increased to a maximum of 2 pounds 7 ounces.

The creators of candlepin bowling had hoped that the early problems would be eliminated by these changes and that more people would play the sport. They did in fact have a positive impact, the changes saw an increase in scores and more bowlers finding fun and enjoyment in the sport.

The sport has undergone many more changes and variations over the years, and continues to evolve. Candlepin bowling is one of several ten pin bowling games that helped shape and transform the game throughout the years into the game we know and love today.

Don’t Set Any Goals This New Year Without Applying The 60-40 Rule

June 24th, 2009 by pinto

It’s that time again - the time when people traditionally set resolutions for the New Year. Have you noticed, though, that setting long-term goals doesn’t work? No matter how convicted you feel about your New Year’s resolutions, the more rigidly you adhere to whatever goals you’ve set for yourself, the harder it will be to reach them.

Why? Because the problem with goals is that they are made in the present, to be fulfilled in the future. But the present is always changing. That means the future is always changing, too. So, if you’ve created a static goal for a future time in a dynamic and ever changing present, it’s almost impossible to attain that goal. This is why, after the first couple of weeks of working toward your goal, setbacks often occur. Before you know it, you’re off the mark, struggling to get back on task, wondering if you will ever reach your goal.

Not all is lost. Human beings aren’t static, so why should their goals be? There is a way to meet your goals and to accomplish all that you have set out to achieve this New Year. The only thing is, it’s different from what you’re used to doing, and it will require setting aside your old way of setting goals. This new way of setting goals is what I call the 60-40 Rule.

The 60-40 Rule

Never heard of the 60-40 rule? Well, now you have. The 60-40 rule states that, once you set a goal, 60% of your action is to be taken in the present; only 40% of your action is to be taken in the future. This rule does three things that the traditional way of setting goals does not:

1. It takes into account the dynamic, ever changing present that we all live in.

2. It sets the intention for your goal to be fulfilled.

3. It puts you in energetic vibration with prosperity and abundance, making manifestation of your goals just a matter of time.

Of course, you can increase the percentage of action to be taken in the present to 70%, 80%, even 90%, or more. The higher the percentage of action in the now, the faster your goal will be reached. However, there still has to be some percentage in the future - even if it’s just 2%. After all, that’s what makes it a goal. Still, anything less than 60% in the now makes your goal just a wish, a want, and a dream that may never be fulfilled.

Contemporary spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle says it best:

“There’s nothing wrong with goals and trying to fulfill them - as long as the main focal point of your attention remains the present moment. It’s like being on a journey and knowing where you want to get to, but realizing at the same time that the entire journey ultimately consists of one step - the step you’re taking at this moment. That one step is all there ever is, and so you give it your fullest attention. In other words, the step you’re taking now is primary; the destination - the goal - is secondary. If the destination becomes primary, you will become stressed and anxious and you will miss life. You will suffer, and the destination will not make you happy even when you get there, when you attain your goals.”

Do yourself a favor this New Year. Don’t waste your time setting goals if you aren’t committed to spending 60% of your action toward your goal right now, in the red, hot present. Whether in business or in your personal life, set attainable goals that you know you can reach, rather than rigid, ultimatum-driven goals that are doomed from the start. Then, follow the 60-40 Rule to achieve them. Take 60% of your action toward your goal today with only 40% of your action remaining for the future. Remember, you aren’t static. Why should your goals be?

We need to recognise our chances and car donation value kind of prospective employer almost the same way as he wants to get to know us. That way, a perfect working relationship may be achieved or, at least, a wrong decisions can be avoided. For the young and inexperienced applicant, I have identified the following important steps to find your perfect job:

RESEARCH THE COMPANY BEFOREHAND.

What is the reputation of this company in the trade? (Do they deliver your orders promptly? Are they well-liked and respected by your future customers?) This may be found out by a casual conversation with a retail salesman and is a very important initial step as no new sales rep. wants to be coursed at by the customers he visits. Learn about the company’s product range and the terminology they use. This can be gleaned from leaflets or in-store display at the customers’ showroom.

OBSERVATIONS WHEN YOU TURN UP FOR THE INTERVIEW.

Do staff have their own dedicated car park or is it a free-for-all. (This may tell you something!) Is the staff there identifiable as one ethnic group or are they from one specific area? (The question here is one of fitting-in?) Do they staff dress neat and speak an educated language? Does the workplace or offices look spacey or overcrowded? (Lack of personal space may make everybody less pleasant than they normally would be.) Walking into the building, say a friendly ‘Hello’ to everybody you pass and see whether they smile back or simply stare at you icily. Say a few kind words to the receptionist and see whether she is friendly, relaxed or stressed. Say nice things about her workplace and the work she is doing - it can only do good!

WHILST WAITING FOR THE INTERVIEW.

Do not help yourself to a cup of coffee from the cafe’ bar unless invited to do so. What are the vibes you are getting this company so far?

BEING INTERVIEWED - GENERAL

Be polite and speak about what you know: your sales training, your aspirations and why you like to sell their products in particular. Speak with enthusiasm.

BEING INTERVIEWED - SPECIFICS

Does the company have a high staff turnover? (which is a negative signal) What happened to my predecessor? Do they tell you of imminent big improvements? (Like, ‘once we move to bigger premises, once we get new cars, once…….’ be careful, they may never change!) Do they give you adequate on-the-job training? Will they introduce you to your customers? Alternatively, do they expect you to establish customers in a new territory? (Which would be like being thrown to the wolves.) Do they provide you with enough samples, catalogues and other point-of-sales material to help you sell? Do they expect you to work long and unpaid hours? How many calls do they expect you to make per day? Are they reasonable? Will you have to break the speed limits to cope? (In some places it is a real achievement for find a place to park you car!) Does the company have health insurance for its employees? Ask about superannuation, but be very subtle about this. When interviewed by a group or committee: they will try to pump you for information and ideas. Tell them freely what you believe would work, but ensure them of your willingness to fit in with the company’s approach to customers.

If you ask many questions, you will be judged as being very keen and interested in the position and to have a very thorough approach.

These points will give the apprehensive applicant a clear profile of the prospective employer and therefore are of great importance in achieving a position that leads to a beneficial career.
